(More pictures coming soon! In the meantime, read this awesome review by one of my most favorite clients) I have a tiny frame home. The building itself is more than 100 years old. The inside layout was very enclosed. The minute you walked in through the front door, you were met with another door to the left, leading into the small living room. You walked in to the living room, which was extended by eliminating the front porch by the previous owners and that room itself, was divided from the next small dining room, by a wall that extended more from one side than the other. Additionally, we had no pantry in the kitchen and having no closets, we had taken some space from the kitchen to make a closet in the 'master bedroom' if it could be called that. Long story short, it was just bad. Having no experience with design and there was just so much to do, I couldn't even find a space to answer the question; 'What changes would immediately give us breathing space and make any difference?'. Bottom line; it was a small house with big layout problems, and any way you viewed it, from any perspective, change had to be made. Well, too many choices is the same as having too few choices when you can't see beyond the enclosed rooms. Here's where the story turns brighter, along with the inside layout of my home: I found Daniela!! She worked with us and gave us different ideas, as to how to transform the house and give the feeling of largeness; with a few strokes, too. A couple of walls came down, the closet in the master bedroom gave way to a pantry in the kitchen that hid not only perishables (how would you call this? breakfast cereals, cans, dry foodstuffs?) but also, the microwave, toaster, and convection ovens, with beautiful, wooden louvered folding doors. One wall became a breakfast nook. The best part, as you walk in you are met with space, the feeling is airy and quite elegant. Do I love it? I love it!! Thank God! Thank Daniela!
